Cluster Project on Biodiversity in the Alluvial Forests of the Elbe to Receive €4.3 million

Hardwood alluvial forests play a major role in the natural flood areas of river landscapes (flood retention). In order to better understand the ecology and the spatial and temporal manifestations of alluvial forest activity, researchers will investigate alluvial forest biodiverstiy on the Elbe, a UNESCO biosphere conservation area.
