Sustainable Water Management Scholarship Alumni
One of the aims of the scholarship program is to support young scientists from selected countries. They have the opportunity to study in Germany or to implement their own research projects. Dr. Ibraheem Hamdan, Louise Desrainy Maryonoputri and Dr. Ganbaatar Khurelbaatar are among the successful alumni of the program.
FONA context: Sustainable Water Management Scholarship Program
Dr. Ibraheem Hamdan was a PhD scholar at the University of Göttingen Department of Hydrogeology from 2013 to 2016. Currently, he is head of the department "Applied Earth and Environmental Sciences" at the Al al-Bayt University in Jordan. Previously, he worked as a senior hydrogeologist at the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) in Jordan in the project: "Improved Groundwater Resources Management in Response to Syrian Refugees Crisis".

NaWaM alumna Louise Desrainy Maryonoputri from Indonesia. She was a master student at TU Dresden in the master course "Hydro Science and Engineering" from 2013 to 2016. Meanwhile, she is employed as deputy regional coordinator at the "Global Water Partnership South East Asia Region (GWP-SEA)".

NaWaM alumnus Dr. Ganbaatar Khurelbaatar was a PhD scholar at BHU Weimar in the Department of Urban Water Management from 2012 to 2016. He is currently a senior scientist at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Decentralized Wastewater and Stormwater Management.

Dr. Munkhdavaa Munkhjargal participated in NaWaM as a PhD student at the Heidelberg University Department of Geography from 2015 to 2019. He is currently working as an environmental specialist for the Mongolian state-owned entity "Milennium Challenge Account-Mongolia".
